Transdiciplinary Artistic Research Project

2022 - 2023

Biotic Projections was a transdisciplinary artistic research project.

Body movement interacts with three-dimensional painting in virtual space, moving scenography and a closely related soundscape.

The artists researched with the method of the artistic ecosystem. It transfers the logic and functionality of a biological ecosystem into transdisciplinary artistic work. Each participating position acts autonomously, but is at the same time harmoniously connected to the larger whole.

The team's goal was to create a technologically augmented reality that creatively and playfully interacts, manipulates, emancipates, and negotiates power. A reality where mutual enrichment is proactively sought and chosen.

The artists involved in Biotic Projections have found each other on the initiative of choreographer Lyn Bentschik, specifically for this project. What unites them is the desire, the interest and the ability to think beyond the horizon of their own discipline.

The team consisted of the two musicians Yannick Consaël and Franziska Bruecker, the scenographer Linda Vollenweider, the two dancers Jenna Hendry and Angela Stöcklin, the producer Bianca Góis Barbosa and the two outside eyes Martina-Sofie Wildberger and Fynn Malte Schmidt.
